Youth are the backbone of every nation’s future and Africa is no exception. In Somalia, the civil unrest, under-investment and decades of conflict have decimated Somalia’s educational system. Currently, Somalia has one of the world’s most significant out-of-school populations with roughly around 3 million out of 5 million school-age children and youth out of school. No education means lack of good job opportunities and as a result, many of the youth stay out of labor force.
