About HARO

Humanitarian African Relief Organization (HARO) is a non-profit, international relief and development organization located in the United States. Our purpose is to provide urgent humanitarian relief and long-term solutions to systemic issues throughout the Horn of Africa. Our organization, together with its partners, is working hand-in-hand with the diaspora, our sustainers and network of international partners to provide life saving care and relief to those most in need.  Together, we strive to combat poverty and serve the needs of those in critical circumstances. Our priorities are set according to the level of urgency and the field of assistance ranges from emergency response, orphan care, education, to emergency response and aid situations such as drought or floods. We work to build capacity as well, with a wide array of employment seeking opportunities, capacity building and training for the youth across the Horn of Africa.
